Intuitive Painting in Royan with Elizabeth Laudouar
Intuitive painting is a liberating and transformative artistic experience, through a fluid process and authentic creation.
Intuitive painting does not obey academic rules. It is born from an inner impulse.
It is movement, spontaneity, dialogue with the unconscious and with the moment.
Each color, each gesture made on the canvas becomes a trace of emotion, a breath translated into matter.
The works created do not seek to represent the world but to feel it. They invite us to let go of the mind and immerse ourselves in a sensory, almost meditative experience.
Intuitive painting allows you to work on the canvas freely and joyfully!
You will learn to unleash your own creativity without any academic constraints.
During the course or workshop, your own aesthetic sense will gradually develop, through daring, freeing yourself from judgment of the work in progress, and seizing the opportunities offered by the present moment on the canvas. The aim here is not to learn a painting technique, but rather to unlock and deepen a personal potential for expression and creativity that is often unknown or underestimated.
I offer a variety of media and processes to enhance your creativity.
The starting point is color, the one or ones you choose to begin with. Color is energy; it lives and vibrates, it resonates with your current energy and guides you, it awakens your senses, it awakens the essence of your being in its most surprising and unknown aspect: creativity.
Because yes, you are creative!
To bring it to completion gradually, the work will be developed in different ways and with several tools.
Throughout the various stages, it is a matter of entering into randomness, letting things happen, observing without judgment what takes place on the canvas, playing with the alchemy of colors and different mediums, and transforming the existing through conscious or unconscious personal choices.
Trusting the creative process is key.
Let yourself be guided by your emotions and sensations, your gestures and above all by the colors that attract you.
Let yourself be guided by the textures and the spectacle that the fluids organize before your eyes.
Intuitive painting allows for a direct relationship with the canvas and welcomes the accidental as a fundamental element of your work.
We will work with lyrical abstraction and abstract expressionism. Under no circumstances will we seek to reproduce reality, even if it sometimes appears despite ourselves.
To paint intuitively,
It is accepting that the work transforms somewhat despite ourselves, but with all that we are.
It's choosing not to know the outcome of our actions online.
It's about accepting the unknown and stepping out of your comfort zone.
It's about exploring your creative abilities by overcoming your barriers and your need for control.
The artwork takes shape and transforms according to your emotions, desires, and energy...
Your sensitivity and imagination are then freely expressed,
And you begin a journey rich in discoveries.
In the end, the result is always authentic.
Prepare to be surprised!

"I do neither Art for Art's sake, nor Art against Art. I am for Art, but for art that has nothing to do with Art, because art has everything to do with life."
Robert Rauschenberg

“Do I believe in inspiration? Of course! I even believe that all men are inspired. It's called intuition.”
Max Jacob
Flow is that state of grace in which you feel alive, vibrant, like a fish in water.
It's about engaging in an activity where your talent and passion converge. An experience that perfectly balances your skills with a touch of challenge. A moment of profound well-being where you feel a natural equilibrium and which holds deep meaning for you.
When abstraction appeals to you…
It can open a path towards a visual experience that goes beyond the simple reproduction of reality. In painting, abstraction allows one to break free from the constraints of faithful representation in order to freely explore forms, colors, and materials, without seeking to depict an identifiable subject.
This approach often stems from a quest for the essential: to translate an emotion, a tension, or a raw sensation by eliminating all superfluous detail. Abstract painting captivates with its mystery, because it doesn't offer a single meaning. It leaves the viewer free to interpret the work according to their own sensibilities, memories, or imagination.
What is so fascinating, then, is abstract painting's ability to suggest the invisible and the ineffable, to create a space where the gaze can wander without imposed reference points. It invites a different way of seeing, based on feeling rather than recognition, and demands an open mind in the face of the uncertainty and ambiguity of the image.
